How to join our AM-approved club on piugame.com

Due to the less than satisfactory design of piugame.com, I have written this guide in order to help others who may be struggling to get into the NorCal club or may have run into problems. This guide will be in two sections: signing up for piugame.com and joining the club on club.piugame.com. In other words, this is a step-by-step guide showing the steps a user wanting the username mockmuffler would have to take to join the club as a Silver Member. Our club needs at least 15 Silver Members in order to compete for USPF and a free trip to WPF. Invite your friends and refer them to this guide if things get way too dicey!

You may also use this thread to ask questions or note problems with anything related to joining the club.

NOTE: ALL OF THESE STEPS MUST BE DONE IN INTERNET EXPLORER! PIUGAME.COM HAS A VENDETTA AGAINST ANY OTHER WEB BROWSER.

Step 1. Making an account on piugame.com

Summary: Fill in all the info and make sure to have a photo of yourself handy to upload to the site.

This section is a step-by-step guide to creating a piugame.com account compatible for club use. If you've already done this part, feel free to skip tto the next post.

First, go to club.piugame.com, and you should see this:

Clicking Sign up Now as the picture indicates will take you to the next screen:

Obviously, click Submit... then go on to the next screen:

On this screen, fill out all the information, and make sure to click the Check Availibility button after entering the info in the relevant field, so the form will let you go to the next part.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE TO UPLOAD A VALID PICTURE OF YOUR FACE/LIKENESS, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN THE CLUB. I've highlighted the important areas in the above screenshot.

After you've filled everything out, and clicked Submit, you should see a dialog appear:

This means that you now have a account on piugame.com. Congratulations!

Step 2. Get through the e-mail confirmation process in order to be able to join clubs.

Summary: With your new account, do some stuff in order to get the confirmation e-mail sent, which you'll need in order to be able to join any AM PIU club.

Now, with your new account ready, head to club.piugame.com:

Logon with your new account. As per the instructions in the picture... go to the club search bar, choose Pending Clubs as the criteria, and enter the search string "NorCal." Pressing enter won't work for some reason, so just click on Search.

Doing so will take you to this screen:

Clicking on the number will allow you to see the Member List, but, in this case, we want to click on the Join Club button as the picture states.

Clicking on the Join Club will take you to this inhospitable-looking page or a page that looks something like it:

If you see this page, DON'T PANIC! It's quite normal. In this page, simply click Move Page to get to the next screen.

NOTE: Sometimes, you get a page with the options Move Forward and Move Backward instead of Move Page like above. ALWAYS click Move Forward, until you get the chance to pick Move Page.

Anyway, once you've clicked Move Page, you'll run into a page like this:

In this case, you're almost in the clear. Now click Move Page (or Move Forward until you can click Move Page, if you get one of those instead), and finally a dialog will appear:

Great! You finally got the confirmation e-mail sent! You're almost ready to join! Now it's time to go to your e-mail Inbox.

Look in the Inbox of the e-mail account your piugame.com account uses for a message with the subject "[PIUCLUB] Confirmation e-mail for club membership certification"; if you don't see it in your Inbox, look in your Spam folder, in case your spam filter placed it there.

The e-mail should look something like this:

As the screenshot states, simply click on "E-mail approval application."

Clicking on that will open a new window in your browser (and if it doesn't, enable popups, so your browser can get it through). When the new window opens, a dialog like this should appear:

Congratulations! You're now able to join the NorCal club (or any PIU Club on piugame.com for that matter)! Now it's time to join!

Step 3. Join the Northern California PIU club with your club ready PIUgame.com account.

Summary: With your account now club ready, it's time to do a few things to join the NorCal club!

Log onto club.piugame.com:

Like before, in the search bar, use Pending Clubs as search criteria, and use the search string "NorCal."

Clicking Search will take you to the next page:

Now, you should go ahead and click Join Club.

Clicking on Join Club may take you to this wonderfully inhospitable page:

To get to the next page which is the Join Club page, just click on Move Page like before. Occasionally, you may get Move Backward and Move Forward as choices, so keep clicking Move Forward until you get Move Page as a choice again.

If Move Page works right, it should finally take you to the page you've been wanting to come to for the entire time:

Yay, you've finally reached the join page!

This page is pretty self-explanatory, but there's one thing I should tell you. Make sure to join as a Silver Member! Club members that count toward club points, participation, and roster size are SILVER members! In order for us to be able to have a club that can earn free tickets to USPF and WPF, we must have a count of at least 15 Silver members! So, basically, join as Silver, or you're missing out on tons of stuff.

Once you've click Submit, you're all set, and you're in the club!

NOTE: It's possible that you may run into a page that tells you that your membership is pending for approval. DO NOT PANIC! This just means that you're in the member approval queue and that you'll be a member the minute our club leader approves you. Just be patient, and we'll be on it. You don't have to do anymore.

And that's it for the guide! This should be all you need to join the piugame.com club.
